I'm more in the Nietzsche camp than the Watts camp, ie meaning is something we do in the face of a meaningless universe. Paradoxically, the process of meaning generation presents itself as discovery rather than are creation.

Day to day being, for humans, pretty much demands engagement and meaning generation. A lack of meaning often kills. Recognizing the miracle of simply being aware goes a long way...and that, I guess, is more Watts-ian so perhaps I'm looping back.
