My opinion on the ‘determinism vs free will’ discussion is that folks are snarled in language, history, and a few abstractions that prevent them from dealing scientifically with what’s right in front of them. Closer than the nose on their face, as it were.

Here’s a link to my 2 cents, written to clarify my intuition that there’s something fishy about the way the alternatives are commonly framed up. Now I’m out seeing what others have had to say and found your article. I appreciate the way you’ve come at the issue…great way to point out the contradictions of the determinist perspective!
